School Shootings Must End

There have been 8 school shootings so far in 2019, taking a total of 3 lives and injuring 19 innocent staff and students. We are 4 (almost 5) months into 2019. I’m not here to give my political views, nor am I here to conflict yours. I must say, though, something must change. There are young children who are required (by modern society) to learn what to do in the event of an active shooter. But, it becomes a totally different story when they are in that situation. Students crying, frantically trying to get in touch with loved ones, all while they are extremely scared and may see or hear things that will scar them forever.And the parents, scared and wondering if they’ll ever see their children again. I hate seeing this happening in the world around me and don’t want to see it anymore. Something must be done, please.
